SES Engineering Services relocates North West office
Wates-owned M&E contractor SES Engineering Services has relocated its North West team to an office at The Royals on Altrincham Road, Manchester.
SES has signed a 10-year lease to take up 5,800 sq ft of space at The Royals, with staff relocating from its Shepherd House office in Wythenshawe.
SES’s parent company, Wates, is also based at The Royals.
The engineering firm employs around 100 people in the North West, although some will remain site-based rather than out of the new office at The Royals. Cushman & Wakefield acted as agent on the move.
Projects the contractor is working on the region include the new police headquarters and custody suite for Lancashire Constabulary in Blackpool. SES is working with main contractor Willmott Dixon on the scheme.
SES is also working with Carillion on the second phase of the mixed-use Vision Tameside in Ashton.
SES’ business director North, Steve Joyce, said: “This is an exciting phase in the ongoing development of SES in the North West as we continue to see increased demand for our design-led approach to provide bespoke mechanical and electrical services.
“To have all of our employees working on one level in such a contemporary environment is, in my opinion, more beneficial, as it fosters team spirit and allows people to share ideas and innovate, as well as interact socially in the breakout spaces.
“By signing a 10-year lease we are clearly setting out our commitment to the region and I look forward to building further on established relationships while at the same time winning new work in what I believe is a buoyant market.”
