Segro site tipped for hotel
The leisure investment team at CB Richard Ellis has been instructed by Segro to sell a one-acre cleared development site in Trafford Park opposite Manchester United FC.
CBRE said the Trafford Gateway site is available for immediate development subject to planning consent.
Shaun Skidmore, director of leisure and alternative investment at CBRE, said: "We expect to see healthy interest in the site, particularly from hotel operators. Manchester is one of the UK's most popular destinations for leisure travelers, with Manchester Airport seeing an annual increase in passenger numbers and hotel occupancy rates above the UK average.
"Furthermore, the site's location is ideal for business use given its proximity to MediaCity UK and Manchester city centre."
The site has been identified as a mixed business, leisure and residential location.
