Segro signs retail distributor in Trafford

Industrial landlord Segro has signed a letting with TS Buying on 35,400 sq ft across three units in Premier Park within Trafford Park.

TS Buying signed a 10-year lease with a break after five years at an undisclosed rent.

The company already occupies space at Trafford Park and will relocate its 40 staff to the new accommodation, retaining the existing premises.

Hazel Lambert, Segro's leasing surveyor in Trafford Park, said: "When Segro acquired estates in Trafford Park in 2009, the 200,000 sq ft Premier Park was over 90% vacant. Following the implementation of a targeted marketing strategy for the facility, we are delighted to have welcomed a number of new customers to the park and hope to build on this success in the future."

Segro did 1m sq ft of deals across Trafford Park and Heywood Distribution Park in Rochdale in 2010. The void rate as Trafford Park is now 25% and 23% at Heywood.
