Savills markets country retreats
Hoteliers Michael and Marie Lawson have appointed Savills to market two of their sites in Lancashire and Cumbria to investors for in excess of £3m.
Staffield Hall Country Retreat is located in the Eden Valley close to the village of Kirkoswald and is offered for a guide price of £1.5m. The 5-star Victorian manor house was recently refurbished and comprises eight self-catering holiday apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms.
The second property, Wolfen Mill Country Retreat, is located within the Forest of Bowland on the periphery of Chipping village in Lancashire and has a guide price of £1.75m. The country mill conversion has nine self-catering cottage-style properties with views of the local fells. Eight of the nine properties benefit from a 5-star accreditation by the English Tourism Council, with the last property offering 4-star accommodation by virtue of its slightly smaller facilities.
Alistair Greenhalgh, associate director at Savills, comments: "These properties offer a unique investment opportunity as holiday apartments rather than a traditional hotel format. The level of accommodation throughout both is impressively high and is perfectly complimented by superb rural surroundings."
