Salford chooses Place North West for MIPIM activity

To raise the authority’s profile at the international property expo, Salford City Council has partnered with Place for a series of brand amplification opportunities, including videos and thought leadership.

“MIPIM is, and has been for many years, a really important event for the council,” said Tom Stannard, chief executive at the local authority. “It gives us an unrivalled opportunity to share the city’s regeneration story and present our vision for the future with those who can help us achieve it.”

Salford City Council is the latest organisation to team up with Place North West for the international property expo in Cannes. Other partners include P4 Planning, JMW Solicitors, Eden Planning, Morgan Sindall Construction, and Luma Marketing.

“I am personally delighted that Salford City Council have chosen Place North West to partner with for MIPIM 2023,” said Dino Moutsopoulos, commercial director at Place.

“There is a palpable energy coming from the city and its leaders and we are regularly reporting on the great schemes coming through in Salford,” Moutsopoulos continued. “The city has an enviable record for delivery with the likes of Salboy, Muse, and Renaker all delivering quality offerings.

“MIPIM 2023 promises to be an excellent occasion to showcase what is available in Salford and how the city is open for new investment.”

Stannard said now was the right time to showcase all that Salford has to offer.

“We’re in a truly unique moment in Salford’s history,” he said. “We’ve experienced huge growth and investment recently, which is now having a positive knock-on effect, enabling us to be in a position where there are even more developments opportunities coming soon across the city.

“The next chapter of the Salford story includes further development potential across our strategic growth locations: City Centre Salford, Salford Quays and MediaCity, Greater Manchester Western Gateway including Port Salford and the ambitious new visions for our town centres at Eccles and Swinton,” Stannard continued.

The work Salford City Council and Place will do together will aid the authority in developing valuable connections for the future of the region.

“We want to highlight the exciting development opportunities on the horizon, make those connections with potential partners and put Salford at the forefront of developers thinking,” Stannard said.

“By working with Place North West on associated activity surrounding the event we’re confident we’ll be able to achieve this.”
