Redsun lodges proposals for £7.5m warehouse
Known as Hub50, the 50,000 sq ft industrial building would sit at Knowsley Business Park off North Perimeter Road.
AEW Architects designed the scheme, which has a development value of £7.5m.
Redsun Projects is set to acquire the four-acre site off Knowsley Council to deliver the warehouse.
The project team includes Link Engineering, Langton Development Services, and KGA.
B8 Real Estate and Avison Young are the joint letting agents for Hub50.
Jon Thorne, partner at B8, said: “Knowsley Hub is a perfect example of what can be achieved when a proactive council and a forward-thinking developer work together.
“With planning now submitted, we’ll be marketing the site to prospective occupiers and giving businesses the option of relocating to a new, bespoke, highly sustainable facility.”
Plans for the hub mark the second phase in the developer’s Knowsley Hub development. Phase one delivered a 36,000 sq ft trade counter at the industrial park at the end of last year.
Phase one is now fully let, with tenants including Howdens Joinery and SCIS.
Nick Wightman, director of Redsun, said: “We were extremely encouraged by the high level of interest we received in phase one and this sustained occupier demand has given us the confidence to push forward with a second phase.
“We will look to start on site towards the end of this year once planning consent is secured.”
