Redbridge to fit out Boilerhouse for Vital Services
The interior design company has been appointed to deliver a £750,000 internal fit-out of the first phase of Soapworks, Salford Quays.
Redbridge was contracted by developers, the Carlyle Group, to prepare the 20,000 sq ft building ahead of the arrival of engineering company, Vital Services Group.
The fit-out is expected to take 16 weeks and will see the creation of specialist training spaces across four floors of the building. The top floor will be transformed into a high-tech environment to accommodate Vital's technology software arm, Sicura Systems.
The Boilerhouse is the first phase of the 400,000 sq ft Soapworks development by the Carlyle Group and its joint venture partners Nikal and Abstract Securities.
Nigel Hunter, director of Manchester-based chartered surveyors, Edwards & Co, advised Vital throughout the property acquisition.
Martin Bridge, managing director at Redbridge Interiors, said: "It was important to our clients to secure a turnkey solution for the Boilerhouse's interior that saw the cost-effective provision of purpose-led design together with its efficient implementation.
"We worked hard to achieve a comprehensive package that meets the high standards that have been set for the Soapworks and I'm delighted that has been recognised with our appointment to this high profile project."
David Gardner, commercial director at Vital Services Group, said: "We're really pleased with Redbridge's appointment to deliver the design and fit-out of our new office space. The layout is purposeful yet flexible and will enable us to effortlessly accommodate our training arm and the Sicura business."
