Public Sector Plc hires development manager
The consultancy has appointed Kate Howe as development manager, advising its local authority partners in the North on how to maximise value on commercial, industrial and residential projects.
Howe was previously development surveyor at Muse Developments, where she worked with councils across the North West, including Cheshire West & Chester, Salford and Wirral, leading on developments at Islington Wharf in Manchester and City Place in Chester.
Prior to joining Muse, Howe ran her own property consultancy and worked on behalf of Scarborough Group, Praxis, DTZ and Savills.
Public Sector Plc is a property company that works exclusively with councils. The company said it has signed partnerships with 20 local authorities in England, leading to an investment of £374m in construction projects, and development of more than 2,300 homes.
Howe, who will be based in Manchester, said: “I’m excited about joining a company that puts social value and partnership at the heart of its working practices. There’s never been a more important time to help councils and the communities that they support.
“As the Government increases the limit of funds available for councils to borrow from the Public Works Loan Board, local authorities will have better opportunities to invest in infrastructure, regeneration, and public services in order to rebuild communities after Covid-19.”
