Permission granted for Preston resi development
Preston City Council has granted Galliford Try planning consent for 34 homes on the former 1.7-acre North West Water Depot site in Ribbleton.
The proposals include a mix of two and three bed units with access from Grange Avenue. The units will be made available for affordable rent through local housing provider Community Gateway Housing Association. All of the units are set to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 accreditation. The scheme was designed by architects Nicol Thomas.
Euan Kellie Property Solutions provided town planning advice to Galliford Try. Euan Kellie, director, said: "The proposals will represent sustainable development in a sustainable location and meet the key requirements of national and local planning policy. It will also make a vital contribution to the delivery of much needed affordable housing in the region."
Construction will start on site in March 2014.
Great news.
