Nice-Pak Wigan shed approved

Liberty Properties and wet wipe manufacturer Nice-Pak International have secured planning permission for a 400,000 sq ft manufacturing unit at Westwood Park in Wigan.

The application to build on the redeveloped Westwood Power Station site was submitted at the end of October.

Work on the project is due to start later this year. Wigan Council said the unit would be the largest building ever built in the borough.

Once the property is completed 150 staff will relocate from Nice-Pak's current base in Hindley Green.

Liberty Properties was advised by JLL.

The development is part-funded by Regional Growth Funding, which Liberty secured with the support of Wigan Council.
