Winners picked for £500m North Wales construction framework
Contractors including Seddon, Kier, and Willmott Dixon have been picked for a £500m construction framework covering public sector projects across all six North Wales Local Authorities.
Overall, 18 companies have been chosen for the deal, which is led by Denbighshire Council. Public bodies that can use the framework include education and healthcare providers, the Arts Council of Wales, North Wales Fire & Rescue, North Wales Police, and the Welsh Government.
It can also be used to deliver community and leisure facilities as well as council offices.

The first iteration of the framework, which delivered projects with a total value of more than £270m, had seven companies including Balfour Beatty and Watkin Jones.
Gary Williams, Denbighshire Council’s head of legal, HR, & democratic services, said: “This framework will have a positive impact in North Wales by creating new facilities for public use, including new schools, which will create jobs in the construction sector, improve educational attainment, provide opportunity for community involvement and engagement and help promote vibrant culture and the Welsh language.
“The framework places importance on delivering the greatest benefit from the investment made ensuring there is a positive impact on local communities.
“This framework ensures that local businesses, where possible, benefit from the investment being made in North Wales.”
