TSK wins BBC North contract

Salford-based office design and fit-out firm, TSK, has been selected by BBC North to provide sustainably-made workstations for its three new buildings at Media City UK.

TSK will supply more than 2,000 workstations for BBC Radio 5 live, BBC Children's, BBC Sport and BBC Manchester staff who will begin to relocate to Peel's landmark development from May 2011.

TSK said the workstations will be made from recyclable materials and will be sourced through its primary furniture partner Herman Miller.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Andy Burke, director of TSK, said: "In any office relocation, the sustainability of the new fit-out is a key contributor to the overall performance of a building, and we're supporting the BBC in achieving key objectives through our partnership with Herman Miller.

"Media City UK is the most significant new development in the North West, and the BBC has continued to show its commitment to invest in regionally-based businesses such as our own while helping to create its new home."
