Stockport warehouse changes hands for £2.2m

Advised by Davies Harrison, biotech supplier Datesand has bought a 32,000 sq ft warehouse on Bredbury Industrial Park for £2.2m.

The storage facility was previously owned by luxury furniture retailer Stocktons, which had instructed Roger Hannah & Co to offload the property.

Datesand has been looking to move after its existing base on Edwin Road, near the Etihad Stadium, was bought by Manchester City Council under Compulsory Purchase Order powers. The area around the stadium is set for a comprehensive redevelopment under a masterplan being led by the council.

Rick Davies, partner at Davies Harrison Real Estate, said: “We were retained by our client to find a property that suited their specific requirements and having identified this warehouse on Bredbury Industrial Estate, we were able to quickly negotiate terms and agree a deal within days.”

Julien Kenny-Levick of Roger Hannah added: “The swift sale of this facility is further testament to continued strong demand for industrial premises from the owner-occupier sector.”
