Quinta makes second Altrincham purchase

Quinta Group has acquired the 5,000 sq ft former William H Lill Solicitors office on Altrincham’s Old Market Place for an undisclosed sum.

Quinta bought the building at 16 Old Market Place, opposite the Old Market Tavern, from William H Lill, which formerly occupied the office. The company was purchased by MLP Law in 2017, and the its 15 staff have since moved in to MLP’s base on Market Street, leaving its former office vacant.

The 5,000 sq ft office is in a grade two-listed building and has six car parking spaces to the rear.

Following the acquisition, Quinta is understood to be considering its options for the building, with a decision expected in the next three months.

The building is Quinta’s second project in Altrincham, after the company redeveloped and sold Bradbury House on Stamford New Road to PRS investor Lomond Investment Management.

The upper floors of the building were converted into five flats over 2,800 sq ft, while the ground floor, covering 1,100 sq ft, was converted into retail space, which has now been let to local business Sew Creative.

The project was sold for just over £1.1m to Lomond.
