LPC Living is holding a series of public consultation events into its revised plans for the construction of 108 homes on the former site of a district centre on Robert Hall Street in Ordsall.
The development has been designed by Warrington-based Dixon Architecture with landscaping by architect Randall Thorp.
LPC said it plans to submit a planning application in the autumn, following the consultation.
The project is a variation of an earlier scheme unveiled by LPC in 2014, which was for 140 homes on the plot. However the plans were never built out, due to a plot known as Knowsley Green being held back for delivery in a later phase, meaning that the size and mixture of homes needed to be revised.
Simon Ashdown, director of LPC Living, said: “This is an important site in the heart of Ordsall and we have been working hard to produce a proposal that we hope will be well received and provide an attractive addition to this flourishing community.
“As well as providing much needed new homes to the area and the continued regeneration of Ordsall, we believe that our proposal will also bring a wide range of benefits to the area. The proposal includes enhanced landscaping, traffic calming and improvements to enhance visibility and pedestrian access. There will also be construction employment opportunities, with a commitment to recruit locally where possible.”
LPC Living will be holding a series of drop-in public exhibitions from Tuesday 11 July to Thursday 13 July:
