Housing provider moves to Soapworks
Irwell Valley Homes has consolidated three of its offices in Old Trafford, Bolton and Worsley to take a 10,800 sq ft office in the Soapworks on a 15-year lease
This is the second letting at the 230,000 sq ft Soapworks in less than two months, following a 6,800 sq ft deal with tech company CGI. Soapworks is also home to Stantec, The Home Office, INNOV8 and TalkTalk, which is planning to relocate the majority of its staff from London to Salford this year.
Irwell Valley Homes provide homes and services to 16,000 customers across Greater Manchester, and is planning more than 1,000 affordable homes across the region.
Sasha Deepwell, chief executive of Irwell Valley Homes, said: “We are always looking for ways to improve how we work, provide better services to customers and achieve value for money. Consolidating our three current offices and moving back to our roots in Salford, where Irwell Valley Homes started life, will help us to achieve this.
JLL and GVA represent Soapworks’ landlord, the Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
Mark Baldwin, associate director at GVA, added: “Soapworks has continued to evolve to become an exciting and interactive business destination with a dedicated on site management team that has worked incredibly hard to create collaborative and pioneering work space, with outstanding amenities for all the staff who work there.”
The Tenant Advisory Group represented Irwell Valley.
