Great Places Housing Group creates framework for NW projects
Manchester-based Great Places Housing Group has awarded contracts to twelve architect firms as part of a four year framework for its housing schemes in the region.
The contracts involve working on housing design and associated site design works, landscaping, street design and all other design necessary for the housing association to obtain required statutory approvals.
Jim McMillan, who worked on recruiting the twelve firms at Great Places Housing Group, said: "A total of £6m has been set aside for contract fees and will be divided between the twelve firms over a four year period. This framework means we don't have to keep tendering for work opportunities over a four year period because we now have a pool of firms to use."
The twelve architect practices chosen for the framework includes:
- Arca Design
- Bernard Taylor Partnership
- BM3 Architecture
- Bowker Sadler Partnership
- Croft Goode
- John McCall Architects
- NBLA
- O'Dwyer McCall Iddon
- Paddock Johnson Partnership
- Pozzoni
- TADW
- Triangle Architects
Great Places Housing Group and Wirral-based Paddock Johnson Partnership are currently delivering the first council houses to be built in Bolton for 20 years. The scheme includes 17 homes built on land at Hamilton Court in Little Lever.
