Forrest appointed to public sector panel

Preston-based social housing contractor Forrest has been appointed to a second framework by the North West Construction Hub joint procurement body.

The business, which provides regeneration, refurbishment and responsive maintenance services, secured a place on the Hub's low value four-year framework after winning a place on its medium value framework last summer.

Both frameworks are accessible to all local authorities and public sector organisations in the North West for construct-only works worth between £150,000 and £4.5m.

Forrest last month it announced an 11.5% increase in sales to £52.3m in the 12 months to 31 August 2010.

The NWCH is being managed by Manchester City Council and covers Cumbria, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. It is part of the Government's North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, aimed at helping councils save money through collaboration.
