EV opening in Exchange Flags
Venture and growth capital fund manager EV will open an office in Liverpool city centre in March.
The company already operates from regional offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Preston, and is opening an office in Horton House wing of Exchange Flags.
The opening of a Liverpool office comes as a result of EV being awarded the mandate to manage the £30m North West fund for venture capital, which provides support for entrepreneurs to build high growth companies in the form of risk capital for new and early stage start-up companies.
EV announced growth in its funds under management to more than £100m, an increase of more than 40% in 12 months, as a result of private sector fundraisings and the award of a number of public sector mandates.
Jonathan Diggines, EV's chief executive, said: "We have planned a Liverpool office for some time; we have been investing throughout Merseyside for years, and now intend to increase our activity here. We will shortly be announcing the appointment of our investment director to focus on investment in Merseyside and to be based at our Liverpool office."
