DTZ selling NWDA’s last plots at Agecroft

DTZ is marketing the final four industrial plots at Agecroft Commerce Park in Salford for sale on behalf of the North West Development Agency.

The sites range from 1.8 acres to five acres and make up 13 acres in total at the former colliery. The land could take up to 220,000 sq ft of industrial premises.

Brian Birtwistle, director of industrial at DTZ, said: "Before the credit crunch I would have been confident of getting £300,000 an acre but now some people might try and see if they can get it at a discount.

"However, some people might take the view that this is the last land available on the park and once it's gone it's gone. Therefore, if they want to make sure they get it they will have to pay the full price."

Bids are due by the end of June.
