Deadline passes for £125k post to run Bolton at Home

Bolton Council has closed the first round of applications to replace George Caswell, who retires as chief executive of its housing division next year.

Caswell joined Bolton Council in 1983 as assistant director of property and will retire at the end of March 2010.

Bolton at Home manages the borough's 18,500 council houses. The newcomer will be 'innovative, customer focused and commercially astute', the job ad says.

Veredus is handling the recruitment. The closing date was 15 November.
