Construction under way at PAG’s Leigh development

Main contractor Rayner Rowan has started building work at a 10-acre industrial site being developed in Greenfold Way, Leigh, by Property Alliance Group.

Two deals are already in place: the development includes a 12,500 sq ft design and build unit for APL Aerial Platforms as well as an outdoor storage area for vehicles spanning two acres.

This space has already been let to enforcement company NSL on a seven-year lease and will be used to store uninsured vehicles on behalf of the DVLA.

Subject to detailed planning permission, another plot is also earmarked for development and will offer 15,500 sq ft of floorspace.

Frank Taylor, head of industrial at Alliance said: “This industrial scheme has brought redundant land back into use and will meet the growing need for high-quality industrial space and outdoor storage in this area.

“For APL, the development provides a tailor-made facility with the option to take a further acre to accommodate future expansion, including a training facility in 2019/2020. “

Construction of the APL unit is expected to be complete by the end of 2018.
