Cheadle Royal office sold

Personal injury solicitor Freeclaim has bought the leasehold of Oakwater Point, an 11,500 sq ft office in Cheadle Royal Business Park, from owner-occupier Balluff.

The office is understood to have sold close to the £2m asking price.

Freeclaim Solicitors is moving from its current Wythenshawe base and will take occupation later this month, relocating more than 60 staff.

Edwards & Co represented Balluff. Savills advised Freeclaim Solicitors.

The 70-acre Cheadle Royal Business Park is owned by Muse Developments. Office occupiers include Umbro, Capita, Regus, Byrom and Trinity-Chiesi Pharmaceuticals.

Toby Nield, surveyor at Edwards & Co, said: "The South Manchester market and business park stock continues to perform well.

"Oakwater Point is a perfect fit, given its location, size and the quality of the self-contained building situated in the mature, landscaped grounds of Cheadle Royal Business Park."
