Chancerygate’s £11m Novus second phase approved
Cheshire East Council has signed off on the second phase of the 207,000 sq ft Knutsford business park.
Novus sits within Parkgate Industrial Estate. The £11m second phase of the £33m project will feature 73,000 sq ft of industrial space. Construction is set to begin on phase two in January 2022 and complete in the fourth quarter of that year.
The 73,000 sq ft of space is to be split between nine separate units ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft. The units are available on a freehold and leasehold basis.
One 50,000 sq ft unit is already spoken for, with VIDA Living committing to a forward purchase of the unit. The Irish-based furniture company will relocate to Novus from its UK home in Cheadle.
“We’re very pleased to conclude the deal with VIDA Living which has been a long time in the making,” said Chancerygate development manager Chris Brown.
“This deal is another example of Chancerygate’s ability to cater for occupiers who require bespoke industrial and warehousing space,” he continued. “There’s significant interest in the speculative development of phase two of Novus and we look forward to seeing this development progress.”
Gerald Eve and Williams Sillitoe acted on behalf of Chancerygate on the deal.
The first phase of Novus is already complete, having brought 134,000 sq ft of industrial units to the park. Northwood Urban Logistics, Sytner Group, Mesoestetics and Oliver Valves have taken space in that first phase.
