Bury puts key sites up for sale

Drivers Jonas Deloitte has been selected by Bury Council to market two strategic development sites for sale; Chamberhall and the second phase of Townside.

Chamberhall covers 59 acres and is reserved for office or research and development facilities.

The seven-acre Townside site will seek to complement the first phase delivered by Bury Council with Ask Developments.

Cllr Tony Isherwood, member for finance and resources, said: "In difficult times Bury has been able to buck the trend in successfully delivering major new office, residential and retail schemes in and adjacent to the town centre. These two sites are pivotal in terms of maintaining the momentum and will further boost the local economy in Bury."
