Arley’s rise continues with positive Atherton launch

Arley Homes, the expanding housebuilder founded by former Linden Homes director John Cosgrave, reported four sales in three weeks since launching its latest development at Chanters Green in Atherton near Wigan.

The Warrington-based firm acquired the one-acre site on Gloucester Street from Wigan Council in March and began construction immediately. The scheme features 28 houses in five styles, starting at £124,950.

Arley has half a dozen developments on site around Greater Manchester and completed 28 sales in the last quarter.

Last month, Arley, backed by funding partner Yorkshire Bank, acquired a 2.7-acre site in Coppull, Chorley to build 40 houses and has two further sites under offer.

Cosgrave set up Arley in 2005.
