Mulbury hires first construction manager
Affordable housing developer Mulbury Homes has appointed Kevin Morris as construction manager as it prepares to start work on up to 12 sites across the region in the next year.
Morris joined from Arley Homes where he headed up the construction team. He has also worked for Barratt Homes, Countryside Properties, and The Emerson Group.
In a newly-created role, Morris will help manage Mulbury's relationships with contractors to ensure the safe and effective delivery of its projects across the region. He will also deliver building work directly on some of its projects.
Mulbury is planning to develop almost a thousand homes in the next two years. The company will also bring a number of its own open market developments to fruition.
Greg Mulligan, director of Mulbury Homes, said: "As we've grown as a business we've strived to continue increasing our construction knowledge and expertise. We've done that with a number of recent additions to our senior management team and Kevin's appointment strengthens us further.
"Kevin has the necessary leadership qualities and technical ability to really drive forward our construction operations, working with our contractors to ensure we continue delivering a great product and value for money for our clients. We are lucky to have secured the services of someone with his track record in the industry."
Morris is the third senior appointment at Mulbury Homes this year. In June the company hired Taylor Wimpey engineering manager Glyn Barrett, and in September David Wroe, former regional managing director of Keepmoat Homes, joined Mulbury's management team.
