Momentum gathers at £14m Artis Park
The joint venture behind the 120,000 sq ft Winsford scheme is preparing to start construction of the second phase of the industrial park after securing another letting.
Kier Property, in partnership with Maple Grove Developments and Yorvale, has agreed to let the 7,000 sq ft unit 7 to Ross Care, an NHS provider of mobility solutions.
Henry Martin, senior development manager at Kier Property, said: “This letting clearly demonstrates that the scheme is continuing to attract strong levels of interest from businesses looking for high-quality space to allow them to grow and expand.”
Ross Care joins Toolstation and Screwfix which signed for trade counter space totalling 9,000 sq ft last year.
It is understood that several more deals are in the pipeline, and the high level of interest in the £14m scheme has given the developers confidence to press on with building out the second phase, comprising three more industrial units totalling 54,000 sq ft.
The £6m second phase is due to complete before the end of the year, and is being part-funded by the Cheshire and Warrington LEP to the tune of £5m
“The units will bring much-needed industrial stock to the market,” said Nik Puttnam, senior development manager at Maple Grove Developments.
Gerald Eve and Legat Owen are the retained agents for the scheme.
The first phase of Artis Park completed last October and comprises 13 units ranging from 4,000 sq ft to 26,600 sq ft.
