Michael Kors opens in Liverpool ONE

New York accessories designer Michael Kors opened a store in Liverpool One today, a 3,000 sq ft unit on Peter's Lane.

Michael Kors will trade from the unit formerly occupied by Radley, which has relocated to the other side of Peter's Lane with a new concept store.

The store will carry a mix of accessories from both the Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, as well as watches, jewellery, shoes and sunglasses. The store will also carry ready-to-wear from the MICHAEL Michael Kors line and a selection of the brand's fragrances.

Michael Kors said in a statement: "The brand's in-house team designed the store experience to echo the label's casual-chic aesthetic, using elements like zebra-print furniture, sleek metal fixtures, mirrored surfaces and glossy, large-scale vintage photographs to evoke jet set glamour and timeless sophistication."

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management, Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, added: "Michael Kors is a fantastic addition to Liverpool ONE's premium fashion offer. Whilst their new store will be a destination in its own right for visitors to Liverpool ONE, it is also the perfect complement to Peter's Lane and the deliberate tenant mix that is now established.

"Together with other recent news, such as Zara's decision to upsize to create a new regional flagship opening next week, Liverpool ONE's position as the leading retail destination in the region is reaffirmed and is successfully drawing target consumer groups into the city in ever increasing numbers."

Cushman & Wakefield and Tushingham Moore acted for Liverpool ONE.

Good. Now give us a Selfridges please Miles!! And a Harvey Nics

By Annie Baines

Considering there are two Selfridges within commuting distance, they probably wont consider Liverpool. As for Harvey Nics, you’re not missing much! The one in Manchester is so empty of customers is embarrassing
