Merepark signs three in Bold Street

Cheshire-based developer Merepark reported three new lettings at its 9-25 Bold Street, Liverpool redevelopment.

Clothing retailer Animal and Brew tea bar have signed ten-year leases to occupy two refurbished retail suites of 4,500 sq ft and 2,700 sq ft respectively.

Youth training provider ESG signed a four-year lease for 5,500 sq ft of office space at 13-19 Bold Street.

The lettings follow a £3m investment from Merepark to refurbish a number of retail units on Bold Street before work begins on the construction of its £160m Central Village scheme to the rear.

Neal Hunter, associate director of Merepark, said: "Bold Street has always been renowned for its distinct personality and vibrant retail offer – these lettings certainly add to that reputation.

"We have created high quality retail units that will become an important gateway to the wider Central Village development, helping to ensure Bold Street remains a popular area of the city."

Phil Kirby, the founder of new tenant Brew, said: "It is great to be opening our second store in such a busy, established area of the city. We trialed Brew in St Paul's Square and as a result of its success we're able to expand the business."
