Magenta launches £40m supplier search

Wirral-based housing association Magenta Living is tendering for a supplier of building materials, with a potential contract value of £40m over 10 years.

The housing association is seeking a single provider of building and construction materials, pipes and fittings, electrical supplies and accessories, kitchen and bathroom fittings.

Magenta Living is in the process of implementing a £32m investment programme which includes the refurbishment of four of its high-rise blocks.

Current projects which are on site and are due to complete in 2014 include the redevelopment of the Pensall House site in Pensby and the Willowtree Care Home site in Moreton, and the conversion of the YMCA Building in Wallasey.

The deadline for receipt of pre-qualification questionnaires for the tender is 1pm on 7 April 2014.
