Langtree rebrands management side
Langtree Group has changed the name of its property management subsidiary, Langtree Commercial Property, to Network Space.
Network Space will manage the company's £100m industrial-led portfolio, only managing its own properties and not working for third parties.
Rob Gaskell, finance director of Langtree, said: "In May 2012 Langtree Group restructured to create Langtree Commercial Property plc, its role being to focus on the management of the group's commercial property portfolio and to invest in its sustainability and growth.
"This has been very successful and Langtree Commercial Property has established itself very quickly in this sector as a respected organisation in its own right. So much so, in order for the organisation to build on these strengths most effectively, we believe it will benefit most from its own identity. Therefore, from 1 July, Langtree Commercial Property plc will be changing its name to Network Space."
Network Space was the name of a development joint venture established in 1999 by Langtree and the Homes & Communities Agency to tackle former coalfields. The JV developed 750,000 sq ft against a target of 500,000 sq ft. Langtree bought the HCA's 49% stake in November 2012 once the portfolio was completed.
Using a pre-existing brand gives the renamed management business readymade recognition in the marketplace as well as clear distinction from the development brand, Langtree.
Network Space will remain in the same base in St Helens. The eastern divisional base is in Doncaster.
