Kilmartin launches King Street office
Scottish developer-investor Kilmartin has moved its North West team into the first floor of 26 King Street in central Manchester.
The King Street office, owned by surveyor Edwards & Co, is the first base for the developer in the region.
Kilmartin is jointly owned by HBoS and chairman Ian Wotherspoon and is headquartered in Edinburgh with three further offices throughout the UK. In the North West it already owns numerous assets including Miller Arcade in Preston, Trinity Park in Bootle, retail in Chester, industrial space in Winsford and Skelmersdale and offices in Salford, Denton and Liverpool.
Mark Ridehalgh, regional director, said: "The North West is a significant property region, and we're delighted to now have a base here. With schemes already underway in the region, we see a great opportunity to grow the business further in Manchester and Edwards & Co have been a pleasure to deal with."
Kilmartin took 1,400 sq ft at 26 King Street at a rental value of £18/sq ft. Both Edwards & Co and Kilmartin represented themselves in the transaction.
