Interserve awarded region’s £48m school contract
Interserve has been awarded the £48m North West 3 Priority Schools Building Programme contract.
The contract will be managed by Interserve's Wigan office, which will build seven schools in the area.
They are:
- Flowery Field Primary, Hyde
- Saddleworth School, Delph
- The Elton High School, Whitefield
- Gorton Manor Primary, Manchester
- Stanley Grove Primary, Manchester
- Mesne Lea Primary, Salford
- Broadoak Primary, Salford
Project partners include JM Architects, Ntegra, White Young Green, AECOM, Colour Urban Design, Sweett Group & Project Greenbook.
The contract relates to the latest capital-funded schools to come to market through the government's PSBP.
Kier Regional had also been shortlisted for the North West 3 PSBP contract.
Work is now underway to appoint a contractor for the North West 4 PSBP, which will lead to the construction of seven schools in the boroughs of Cheshire West & Chester, Stockport, Warrington and Wigan.
Carillion Construction won the North West 1 PSBP contract, which provided £47m for the construction of eight schools in Cheshire West & Chester, Blackpool, Halton, Manchester and Tameside.
Willmott Dixon won the North West 2 PSBP contract, which provided £21m for the construction of four schools in Liverpool, St Helens and the Wirral.
