IBI Group hires from Planning Inspectorate

Studio associate Mark Caine has joined the planning team at IBI Group, the global architectural, planning, engineering and technology firm.

He joined from the Planning Inspectorate where he was a planning inspector since 2013. Prior to that he worked at Oldham Council for more than a decade.

He will be based in IBI’s Handforth studio in Cheshire, and will lead and provide support on all planning matters for IBI programmes, projects and commercial commissions both in the North West and across the UK.

Paul Sheppard, head of IBI Group’s UK planning team, said: “Caine’s arrival reinforces IBI’s planning capabilities and will enable the company to extend the scope of its planning service for both new and existing clients.”

IBI Group provides design and planning advice across a wide range of urban development, healthcare, education and science workstreams.

It employs 120 people in three offices in the region; Rochdale, Liverpool, Handforth.
