Hydrock hires for regional push

Danny Hope has joined environmental consultancy Hydrock as technical director for land quality and will head up a new Manchester city centre office.

Hope has 15 years' experience managing land contamination and remediation issues in the North West and joined from URS. He has worked on a wide range of sites including airports, docklands, landfill sites and industrial property. Key projects include being land contamination lead on the Greater Manchester Waste PFI, and advising on Mersey Gateway and HS2.

Dr Mike Higgins, managing director of Hydrock's land remediation business, said: "Danny's got some great skills and experience and his appointment comes at a great time for Hydrock in the North West, where we have picked up over £25m of design and build land remediation ‎contracts in the last few months."

Hydrock's new Manchester base is in Spinningfields. It already had a base in Hale, Trafford. There are also offices in Northampton, Bristol, Gloucester, Plymouth, Stoke-on-Trent, Solihull, Camborne, Guildford and Sheffield.
