Howard Holdings prepares plans for 2m sq ft Stratum

Howard Holdings is proposing a 2m sq ft mixed-use development at Victoria Warehouse next to Old Trafford football ground.

The £180m Stratum scheme would comprise, subject to planning, 780 apartments, 80,000 sq ft of offices, a hotel, parking and ancillary retail and leisure units.

The scheme will be designed around two central towers, the tallest of up to 37 storeys. Howard bought the site from Panamint Properties and will develop Stratum itself.

A planning application is expected by mid-July, with work starting on a two-year, first phase build in 2009.
