Hourigan Connolly adds to team
Independent planning consultancy Hourigan Connolly has appointed Rachel Jones as graduate planner.
A graduate of Leeds and Liverpool Universities, Jones will assist with the company's growing workload in the residential and commercial sectors.
The team at Hourigan Connolly has grown to five professional staff with further plans for expansion in the coming months.
Marc Hourigan commented: "Since the publication of the NPPF, our inquiry work has grown exponentially as developers seek to harness the presumption in favour of sustainable development. Housing delivery is a critical issue in this country and too often overlooked by the planning system which is notoriously slow to react to ever-growing demand."
Daniel Connolly said: "We were overwhelmed by the response to our recent advert for a graduate, but Rachel was the stand out candidate and has already fitted into the team very well. She will be kept very busy over the coming months."
Hourigan Connolly is currently preparing evidence for a number of housing and mixed-use schemes and will be appearing as expert witnesses on a variety of planning issues.
Hourigan Connolly moved to Workshop Properties' Swan Square development in Manchester's Northern Quarter at the end of 2012.
Hourigan Connolly was formed in summer 2009 by former Colliers colleagues Marc Hourigan and Daniel Connolly.
