Hitchmough moves to BDP
Mike Hitchmough, former divisional director and head of offices at 3DReid Architects, has joined the Manchester studio of competitor BDP as architect director.
Hitchmough was at 3DReid for seven years, and during that time led the design and delivery of the Co-operative Group's head office at One Angel Square in Manchester which completed in 2013. He was also lead designer on the 187-bed Hotel Indigo next to Victoria railway station, which is due to start on site later this year.
Prior to 3DReid, Hitchmough was development manager at Dandara.
Gavin Elliott, BDP's Manchester chairman said: "I'm really pleased that Mike is joining us. He brings us outstanding experience in the design of city centre commercial buildings, allied to exemplary green credentials – as evidenced by his role on the iconic, award-winning One Angel Square project for the Co-op. He will be a great asset to BDP and the Manchester studio in particular."
Didn’t he used to be in neighbours?

Congratulations on your move. I hope we will be seeing many more iconic buildings like 1AS from you, one of my favourites. Enjoy.
