Gillingham takes national role at RLB
Steve Gillingham has left Mace to join construction, property and management consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall as partner and national head of public sector.
At Mace Gillingham was most recently regional director responsible for strategic and operational management in the North of England and Scotland.
Alongside his national public sector role, Gillingham will support the growth of RLB’s regional business in Manchester as part of the senior management team.
Russell Bolton, managing partner of RLB in Manchester, said: “Steve’s extensive experience and knowledge, including his role on the board of the Northern Powerhouse, will be a fantastic addition for RLB.
“Our business in the region continues to go from strength to strength as we work on high profile projects for customers including Manchester City Council, Mulbury and Trafford Clinical Healthcare Group. Ensuring we have the right talent within the business to deliver for our clients is paramount to our success. In the last two years we have doubled the size of our Manchester office and now have over 100 colleagues in the team.”
Gillingham added: “RLB’s exceptional growth over the last few years attracted me to the business. I am looking forward to driving customer service and delivery with our Public Sector clients across the UK, and adding to our strong presence in Manchester.”
RLB clients and projects include St Michael’s, Co-op office refurbishments, PRS at New Cross for Mulbury, Circle Square with Bruntwood, Manchester Airports Group and Trafford College Group.
