Fourth Franklins Deli set for Spinningfields
Franklins Hospitality is to extend its roll out into Manchester city centre after opening at New York Street this week with an autumn launch in Spinningfields.
The New York-inspired Franklins Deli opened a 1,000 sq ft unit in New York Street, between Piccadilly and Mosley Street, on Monday.
The retail arm of the outside caterer began in Liverpool where there are now two outlets: in St Paul's Square in the business district and in the Fact art-house cinema on Wood Street.
Owner and MD Adam Franklin said the delis would continue to source food locally, aiming to reduce 'food miles'. He added: "Everything produced on our menu, where possible, is locally sourced and prepared by Franklins' army of passionate foodies. I truly believe once you've tried one of our sandwiches it will blow your mind."
The delis offer seating, take away and delivery options. Franklin added: "Our fruit and vegetables come from Ribbleton Farm in Lancashire, our meat is sourced from two farms in Cheshire who I know personally and have seen how passionate and committed they are to rearing great quality meat. It's just cheaper and easier for us to buy local. We can produce great tasting food, using the best ingredients available to us, all of which hold true to what Franklins is all about."
