Four new starters for Planit-IE
Landscape architect and urban designer Planit-IE has hired four members of staff in its Altrincham office.
Liz Hunger joined as a senior urban designer, alongside Alexandra Chairetaki from Schulze+Grassov in Copenhagen as a graduate urban designer. Two students from the Edinburgh School of Art, Camille Garland and Rosanna Barton, will complete year-out placements with the company before moving on to graduate courses.
Pete Swift, joint managing partner at Planit-IE, said: "With a new senior management team and a clear plan for succession going forward, we identified a number of key roles across the studios and are delighted that we have been able to implement the first group of these. Following a number of major instructions over the last month, across both of our studios, we are seeing real sustainable growth across all sectors of the business.
''Our recent winning bid to work with the University of Manchester to design and deliver the Brunswick Street public realm scheme and to work with Bruntwood on their vision for Alderley Park are a clear endorsement for the value we can add to projects and the strength of our team."
Planit-IE has studios in Altrincham and London.
Not a male in sight??

I think there should be an awareness campaign and a recruitment drive in all-male schools to encourage more males to get into the urban design industry.
