Fletchrose hires batch of apprentices
Liverpool-based contractor, Fletchrose, has taken on seven apprentices across various skills in partnership with local colleges.
The company, headquartered in Aintree Racecourse Business Park, employs a direct workforce of 80 staff.
Added to that are new recruits Adam Reynolds , Martin Win, Thomas Beatham, Connor Macleod, Kayley Ward, Matty Holt, and Kevin Gaunt.
The apprentices are learning a range of trades from plumbing and joinery to bricklaying and joined the company under a three-year apprentice programme aimed at gaining NVQ Level 3.
Fletchroses works with Hugh Baird College, Liverpool Community College, Knowsley College and North West Training College.
Bill Sargeant, operations director of Fletchrose, said: "As a growing firm, we are constantly looking to identify new people that can help us meet a changing demand. We recognise that we must invest in our next generation of employees by giving them opportunities at an early stage in their careers. We see these young people as the future of our firm and hope that they continue to grow and develop with us, becoming fully qualified Fletchrose tradespeople."
He added: "We know how tough it is out there for young people to benefit from quality training and employment opportunities and want to be able to work with more college leavers in the future."
