Five hired at Urban Green
The environmental consultant and designer has bolstered its Manchester team with five new hires in its landscape design, arboriculture, and ecology teams.
The five new hires bring the total number of staff in its Ancoats studio to 26.
Mark Evans has joined as a senior landscape architect from Fabrik, where he worked as an associate landscape architect and landscape planner. He has over 15 years’ experience in the sector, predominantly in the North West.
Jack Tibbs has joined as a graduate landscape architect from AHR Glasgow, having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MSc in landscape architecture.
Both Tibbs and Evans will be working on a number of projects for Urban Green, including Alderley Park for PJ Livesey, and Failsworth Cemetery and Park for Oldham Council.
In its ecology team, Urban Green has hired Rosie McEwing as assistant ecologist following a six-month internship. She previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Sheffield and the University of Manchester.
Urban Green has also added Michael Garrett to its arboriculture team as a graduate arboriculturist. He will initially work on tree surveys across housing association One Manchester’s stock.
The company has also added Demi Burns as office administrator from real estate consultancy Knight Frank.
Urban Green managing director Scott Fitzgerald said: “I’m delighted to welcome these five new members of our team. They all bring valuable expertise and experience which will enable us to grow and diversify our business. Their ideas, energy and fresh thinking will help Urban Green to continue to innovate and do things differently.”
