Event: Frameworks for recovery seminar
Developers, investors and owner-managers are invited to join experts from Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund, PKF, Hill Dickinson, Co-operative Bank and GVA to discuss the state of the property market and opportunities for the future at an event in Haydock in November.

Mark will review the main property sectors, the factors leading up to the recession and the collapse of property values, followed by analysis of what has happened since. Looking to future forecasts for performance, Mark will focus on the region's two main cities, Manchester and Liverpool, providing examples of major investment transactions.
09:10 Trust me, I'm an ethical banker, Rob Dawson, The Co-operative Banking Group
Trust in the banking sector is at an all time low. Rob Dawson, head of property finance at the Co-Operative Bank looks at the difficulties facing the sector, how this has impacted on the decisions being made by Banks and what the future holds. Rob will also provide an insight into how Banks are viewing both new and existing loans and give some helpful hints and tips on how to raise new finance.

10:30 Introduction to The Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund, Cllr Kieran Quinn, chairman of Greater Manchester Pension Fund
Cllr Quinn will provide an overview of what the fund is, its structure and remit and will examine its various property development and regeneration schemes across the North West. He will also outline its plans and requirements over the next 12 to 18 months, showcasing its commitment to providing quality development and regeneration projects in the region.
