Eddisons appoints valuation director

Josh Northcott has joined the chartered surveyor from Colliers, where he worked for nearly 10 years as an associate director.

At Eddisons, Northcott will be a director in the company’s North West valuation team, which is led by Phil Deakin. He will be based in Eddison’s Manchester office off Deansgate.

Northcott has spent 15 years growing his expertise in land and property valuation and can offer advice when it comes to secured lending, purchases, disposals, or accounting.

Deakin, who is also the regional director at Eddisons, described Northcott as a “high-calibre team member” and praised his “extensive experience of working in a multi-national practice”.

Deakin continued: “Valuation is a growing area of Eddisons’ business, with more than 100 people in our team nationally and increasing demand from our clients for high-quality valuation advice across the commercial and residential sectors.

“The continued expansion of Eddisons’ North West valuation team complements our growth in other regions and targeted acquisitions in areas such as the South West with Bristol-based Andrew Forbes Chartered Surveyors.”

In addition to Northcott’s hiring, Eddisons’ 10-strong North West team has more news. The team’s graduate surveyor, Kate Smith, has become a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Deakin also took time to praise Smith’s achievement.

“Kate has gone from strength to strength since she became a member of our valuation team and we are really proud of her achievement in becoming chartered and attaining registered valuer status,” he said.

“It is tremendous to see our younger colleagues, in particular, develop and progress in their careers with us,” he continued. “At Eddisons, we are focused on nurturing talent and providing our clients with excellent advice across a broad range of sectors and geographies.”

Eddisons boasts a staff of 500 who work out of more than 30 offices across the UK. The consultancy is headquartered in Leeds and, in addition to its Manchester location, has offices in Stockport and Liverpool.
