Dyson joins CBRE in consultancy role
Former JLL North West chairman Bob Dyson has been appointed to the Manchester office of CBRE as a consultant, working flexibly to advise various teams’ public and private sector client base.
Dyson is a highly mrespected property professional with more than 35 years’ of experience. He stepped down as JLL’s North West chairman in 2013, and has since been advising on a range of projects as a consultant.
The position at CBRE will be his only professional role, Dyson will step down as non-executive director of Urban & Civic from next year.
Dyson’s career has seen him play a key role in bringing forward some of Manchester’s most significant developments including; Spinningfields, NOMA, Manchester Airport City masterplan, the strategy and disposal of Granada TV’s 20-acre site on behalf of ITV, and the Piccadilly Mayfield strategic regeneration scheme for London & Continental Railways, Transport for Greater Manchester and Manchester City Council, in addition to numerous Manchester city centre office schemes such as Great Bridgewater, 81 Fountain Street, Direct Line House, The Observatory and Belvedere.
At CBRE, Dyson will work alongside senior figures including North West managing director and executive director of office agency John Ogden, executive director of capital markets Colin Thomasson, head of planning Iain Jenkinson, senior director of land and development Steven Verity and director Alistair Chapman.
