DTZ hands over £6m St Ann’s Square apartments
DTZ Investors and contractor Styles & Wood have completed a £6m office-to-residential conversion of 12 St Ann’s Square in Manchester ahead of a launch by Thornley Groves this month.
The £6m project has seen the former office above shops at 12 St Ann’s Square converted into 21 apartments, which will be made available for private rent. Named the Lightwell, the development features a three-storey central communal space at the centre of the building.
The architect on the project is Apt Design.
Thornley Groves’ new homes division has been instructed to market the properties, having worked with both DTZ and the professional team early in the design process. Tenants are expected to move in next month.
Other residential developments Thornley Groves has acted on include No.8 King Street, which was bought by DTZ Investors in April this year for £8.65m. Like St Ann’s Square, this also features 21 apartments on the upper floors.
Thornley Groves sales and marketing director Matthew Smith said: “Our new homes division was involved in the development from the early stages of design and were able to offer our services to advise on a number of aspects throughout the development.
“DTZ took this advice on board and have created 21 fantastic homes that provide stunning accommodation for tenants to enjoy while living in the city.”
