Downing plans next Islington student scheme
Islington Regeneration Company, a joint venture between developer Downing and directors from pension company AJ Bell, has submitted plans for a 730-bedroom student accommodation project in Norton Street, Liverpool.
The development will include cluster flats of up to six bedrooms, as well as social, gym, laundry and group areas and ground floor retail units.
The scheme was designed by KKA Architecture.
Islington Regeneration Company received planning permission last month for two student accommodation developments at Devon Street and Gildart Street totalling 920 beds, designed by Falconer Chester Hall.
The projects are part of a wider vision for the district, with Islington Regeneration Company's masterplan for the 20-acre site outlining a further four development phases over the next 10 years.
