Davis Blank Furniss strengthens property team
Manchester and Glossop-based law firm Davis Blank Furniss has announced a new recruit and promotion across the two offices.
Jennifer Smith joined the Manchester office from North Ainley Halliwell Solicitors as an assistant solicitor. She will work for commercial and residential clients and report to Richard Hamilton, property partner. Smith graduated from Manchester University with a BA in Government & Law in 2003 and completed her LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University. She also previously worked at Horwich Cohen Coghlan, formerly Rowe Cohen.
Smith said of her new role; "Davis Blank Furniss has great reputation so I'm delighted the next stage of my career will be here. The Property department has an exciting year ahead of it and I'm looking forward to being part of its growth."
In Glossop, Emma Little has been promoted to paralegal. Little has worked at Davis Blank Furniss for 16 years in several roles and is now working with Martyn Gee and Susan Wood, both partners, on conveyancing matters.
Kate Oldfield, managing partner, added: "Jennifer has a solid background within property law so I know she'll enhance and add real value to the team which will, of course, directly benefit our clients. Emma's promotion is also great news and well deserved as she has been part of the Davis Blank Furniss family for many years."
